Workshops

Cultural Awareness

What are the legal considerations for your activities regarding diversity and culture? Do you have privileged blind spots? Does your activity provide a safe and inclusive environment? We examine these questions and more in our cultural awareness workshop. Be prepared to get uncomfortable and be energized to work through that discomfort towards change and progress.

Indigenous Legal Concepts

Guest speakers examine the trauma of residential schools, the dislocation of land and eradication of Indigenous culture as well as current legal and social norms that contribute to ongoing trauma.  We also explore legal concepts such as treaty rights and the duty to consult. The goal is to help you understand the history so we can all be a part of the solution.
